Wyoming is God's country, and we invite you to come see it for yourself.
There is no better way to experience Wyoming's wilderness than a backcountry pack trip. You will get to travel and view some of Wyoming's most remote wonders. It is the perfect family and friends summer vacation. We'll take you to see some of what we believe to be the most spectacular places on earth. We take trips into the awesome, rugged beauty of the northwestern Wyoming wilderness, near and inside Yellowstone National Park.
Most campsites are located in grassy meadows with vast timber and high mountains surrounding them and a creek or river flowing close by. On our trips you can choose to set camp in one location for the duration of the trip or move every couple of days and explore new country along the way. You will get many opportunities to learn about, horsemanship, mule packing, wildlife, geology, weather, history, wilderness ethics, camping, cooking on an open fire, the cowboy way of life, and much more!
We eat lots of hearty food on our trips: steaks, ham, pork chops, fish, bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, vegetables, fruits, pies, brownies, and candy bars just to name a few.
Fishing is available on select trips. Rainbow, cutthroat, and brook trout are the main fish you will be catching. These trips can be conducted in many different areas including Yellowstone National Park. A professional fishing guide will join us to help you hook and land the big one!
Grizzly bear viewing is an occasional occurrence on some of our trips. These trips take place in August in high mountain basins where the bears gather to feed on moth fields. We use spotting scopes and binoculars to view the bears from a distance so we don't disturb them.
Choose from a custom pack trip that you design with our help or join a scheduled group pack trip. All of our pack trips are custom tailored to fit our clients' desires. We will work closely with you to find out the best dates and length of trip to best fit your needs. Most trips are 5 days long, but longer and shorter trips can be arranged. Whichever you choose will provide you with a unique experience. During the day, your guides will take you horseback riding, fishing, wildlife viewing, or if you prefer, they will just leave you alone to commune with nature.
Our pack trips provide you with experienced and professional guides, trusty pack mules to carry your personal belongings, a good riding mule or horse, a good saddle, a good tent, and three square meals a day. All you need to bring is your personal gear. If you plan on fishing, you will need to bring your tackle and purchase a license upon arriving in Cody, Wyoming. It's Wyoming Wilderness camping at its finest. Most of all, our pack trips provide you with memories that will last a lifetime. There simply is no better way to explore and experience Wyoming's Wilderness.
